THE MAIL TRAIL — THANK YOU FOR 2025
The 2025 Mail Trail for Hospiscare has now finished – and what a year! A huge thank-you to everyone who walked the trail, shared photos, bought maps and postcards, donated, sponsored toppers, and supported our brilliant volunteer yarnbombers. Every penny raised helps Hospiscare continue its vital work across Exeter, Mid and East Devon.
While the 2025 trail is now wrapped up, you can still donate at any time, share trail memories with your friends, and enjoy the photos and stories from this year’s toppers on our Facebook page.
📢 WHAT’S NEXT — 2026
We’re excited about the prospect of another campaign – but plans for the 2026 Mail Trail are not yet finalised. We’re taking things one step at a time and will update the website and social channels as soon as decisions are confirmed.

The Mail Trail – Exmouth Postboxes – who are we?
We are a team of fundraising volunteers. We have been yarnbombing the postboxes in the Exmouth area, to create beautiful themed toppers to bring joy to local residents and raise as much as we can for a fantastic charity.

You can also find out more about the Hospiscare charity, who we hope to raise lots of money to support. Because all this is for the fabulous Hospiscare.
They provide specialist care to patients and their families living with life-limiting illnesses across Exeter, Mid and East Devon.
Hospiscare has been supporting people with a life-limiting illness for over 40 years. They’ve expanded their area over that time and now cover Exeter, Mid and East Devon. If you’ve been diagnosed with any type of terminal illness, their expert doctors and nurses are here to help. Services include support at home, a specialist palliative care ward, day hospices and end-of-life care.
Hospiscare support over 2,000 people each year, in some of the hardest times possible. As a local charity, they need to raise around £8 million a year to continue to provide their care, relying on the generous support of local people and communities. You may think Hospiscare receives government funding – but they only get 18% funding from the NHS. The rest has to be raised from donations – every single year.
