We are a friendly bunch so if you have any questions, we have compiled some FAQ for The Mail Trail Exmouth Postboxes
How do I donate?
You can donate using this link here:
https://justgiving.com/campaign/hospiscaremailtrail2025
You can scan the donation QR code on the tag of the postbox that you’ve found. If you get stuck getting a sack of money to us, just let us know!
All the money goes directly to our charity, Hospiscare.
Does all my money go direct to Hospiscare?
Yes! Our donation link is secure and safe and every penny you donate will go to Hospiscare. Remember to add Gift Aid if you can.
How many toppers are there?
From May 2025, there will be 53 toppers for you to find! Launching on 23 May, the team of crafty volunteers will be spreading the woolly joy to the postboxes of Exmouth as usual – and are also planning to include Budleigh Salterton, East Budleigh, Woodbury, Ottery St Mary, Exton, and Lympstone. You’ll definitely need a map to track them all down. This year there will be a Summer Trail from May to September, and a Christmas Trail at the end of the year; check our social media for dates and maps
Can I make a topper?
We’d love to hear from you if you’d like to get involved with making a topper.
It might be that you can make the toppers but not the decorations, or the other way around. Get in touch with us to register your interest.
All our team provide their own yarn – although we do often receive very generous donations of yarn and we distribute this as and when needed.
